  • 10-xerlerator is a startup incubator held by Ohio State University that helps companies accelerate its business development process and fund raising.
  • Competed with 300 applicants to be one of the top 10 teams to receive $20,000 grant. In the final round to compete for $200,000 funding.

PROJECTS

Social Network on a Chip

  • Built a real time web chat application (using NodeJS) runs on Beagle Bone Black that works in cases of emergency when there is a blackout (no Internet, no electricity)


Machine Learning for Lunch

  • Used Decision Tree combined with Evolutionary Algorithms to analyze past sale data, study customers’ behaviors from CMU’s vending machine and came up with a recommendation of restocking plan that minimized the cost/ waste for the school and increased students’ satisfaction by 30%.


Analysis of DBLP Database using Neo4j

  • DBLP is a computer science bibliography which provides a comprehensive list of research papers in computer science (3 million entries in XML format).
  • Contructed authorship, paper network as nodes, analyzed the relationships between them
  • Displayed the result using Spring framework and D3
